The goal of the Meriwether Foundation curative and preventive health programs is to improve the health of rural and peri-urban communities in Southern Africa by effectively treating those who are sick. Along with curative treatments, we implement public health methods to help educate and promote prevention.
Our programs include the construction and operation of clinics and health centers, mobile clinics, community health fairs, and water and sanitation projects.

Education Programs
The goal of the Meriwether Foundation education programs is to empower rural and peri-urban communities in Southern Africa. The Foundation seeks to break the pattern of generational poverty by providing individuals with access to an education. We partner with and support local educational institutions, work to improve student outcomes and performance, and look to improve the quality of education by training teachers and implementing rigorous curricula.
Nutrition Programs
The goal of the Meriwether Foundation nutrition programs is to improve the health of rural and peri-urban communities in Southern Africa by providing them with food security, education, and agricultural training, as well as providing youth and communities with access to nutritious foods.
Our programs include establishing and developing organic gardens, early childhood nutrition and feeding programs, organic free range poultry farms, and organic orchards.
